A private, non-profit, scientific, medical-care and promotional association, legally constituted in Lima in 1983, thanks to the initiative of an oncology patient from abroad, cured locally with Peruvian medicinal plants of traditional use, recommended by Edmund Szeliga.
For more than three decades, IPIFA has been applying the teachings and basic therapeutic method of this Polish Salesian priest, a pioneer of Peruvian phytotherapy and founder of IPIFA.
Our Objectives...
The scientific investigation of medicinal plants and other natural resources, especially in the countries of the Andean area.
The therapeutic use, the dissemination and promotion of phytotherapy, as well as other duly validated complementary therapies.
The organic agriculture, the processing, industrialization and commercialization of these resources, aimed at sustaining the association, may act as a laboratory, drugstore, etc.
The development of cultural activities: Educational, artistic, literary and sporting activities, related to its institutional purposes.
Any other activity that contributes to the realization of these purposes or is related to them.
Personalized attention
To date, we have attended and recorded about 50,000 outpatients from different parts of the country and abroad, with chronic diseases, respiratory, rheumatological, digestive tract, skin, neoplasms, respiratory, diarrheal and metabolic diseases.
